Pre-Gassing (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) Systems
Extend Shelf Life, Preserve Freshness, Minimize Waste
At AMH, our Pre-Gassing Systems—also called Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)—are crafted to enhance product longevity and maintain quality by replacing the air in packaging with a targeted gas mix. This ensures optimal freshness, reduced oxidation, and improved appearance—all while maintaining hygiene standards essential for food and sensitive products.
How It Works
Before sealing, packages are flushed with a calculated blend of gases—commonly nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and/or oxygen—matched to your product’s specific preservation needs. This customized gas environment displaces ambient air, reducing microbial growth and delaying spoilage, all within a controlled, clean process.
